Snake comes in 10"-12" cuttings. This is the most contorted of our Matsudana?s, lots of twists and turns along each rod, making it idea for fresh and dried flower arrangements. It also has darker rods, deep red along a much longer length and later into the winter. The rods are taller and less branched than many others. 

Quick growing, reaching around 5'  after pollarding. We like to cut ours back each year making the colours and twisting more pronounced but?it will form an attractive tree if left. These twisted willows are lovely for adding interest to a winter garden and colour to the garden in spring, but like all Matsudana's "snake" is quite fast growing so please don't plant close to buildings!
