Rubens comes in 10"-12" cuttings. A quick growing willow with bright green stems in spring turning a light chocolate colour later in the year. The rods are quite thick at the base tapering as they go up the rod. There is some branching but they are quite flexible. Rods grow about 6 feet after pollarding creating an attractive, tall, spreading shrub. An attractive shrub and good for thicker basketry projects.
