Triandra Viminalis comes in 10"-12" cuttings. This is a very woody, fast growing, robust willow that makes an ideal quick screen or windbreak. It grows vigorously, tall with long broad leaves and bright green 9-12' (3-4m) rods. We have found that it is better able to cope with a range of more exposed situations than many. It can be particularly useful at the end of a windy paddock where it will form an attractive tall hedge. It is a good addition to the short rotation coppice so why not plant a double row and cut an alternate row each year or two. We have used this one to make our chair legs! If not coppiced they will quickly form trees. A great habitat willow for bees and wildlife. We have both male and female variants, extremely hard to tell apart other than the catkins!
