Austrian Grey is another lovely Triandra willow offering a different colour to Noire de Villaine or Semperflorens. It is a tall vigerous willow with long narrow leaves and dark olive rods which turn chocolate brown towards the tips.
It doesn't branch much so it is great for living structures and for agricultural weaves. I like using it to make simple hurdles around the kitchen garden. Left to its own devices it forms a wonderful thicket, fantastic as a windbreak or to provide habitat for wildlife. Triandra Austrian Grey makes an excellent quick hedge or shelter at the end of a field, and if left it makes useful short rotation coppice.
Each rod in these packs is around 190-200cm tall and we sell them in bundles of 10 rods.
