Japonika comes in 10"-12" cuttings. Japonika is another lovely ornamental purpurea. It has a textured bark during the winter, lots of wonderful purple catkins from late winter until early spring, it then develops bright green new growth in the run up to early summer. As an ornamental willow it provides interest throughout the year. It is particularly attractive as a soft hedge, looks great in spring flower arrangements, and if you weave it the almost scaly appearance of the bark adds contrast. Nice!
